    EMCO and SBG-PCM Wins Prestigious Water Project of the Year Award
    Dubai – 18 December, 2011 – EMCO and SBG-PCM (now, PCMC) won Best Water Project of the Year Award for their collaboration on the Nano-filtration Project in Hail, KSA.  Providing pure drinking water for one million people in Hail province, the plant is the largest of its kind in the Middle East and the second largest nano-filtration system worldwide. The award was presented during the Annual H2O Water Awards held on 23rd November, 2011 at the Atlantis, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.EMCO and SBG-PCM’s 150,000 m3/day Nano-filtration Project is being jointly constructed by EMCO and Saudi Bin Ladin Group (SBG) – PCM division for Ministry of Water and Electricity, Hail Directorate.     Dubai – 18 December, 2011 – EMCO and SBG-PCM (now, PCMC) won Best Water Project of the Year Award for their collaboration on the Nano-filtration Project in Hail, KSA.  Providing pure drinking water for one million people in Hail province, the plant is the largest of its kind in the Middle East and the second largest nano-filtration system worldwide. The award was presented during the Annual H2O Water Awards held on 23rd November, 2011 at the Atlantis, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.

    EMCO and SBG-PCM’s 150,000 m3/day Nano-filtration Project is being jointly constructed by EMCO and Saudi Bin Ladin Group (SBG) – PCM division for Ministry of Water and Electricity, Hail Directorate. When completed, the project will officially be the largest of its kind in the Middle East. The project was given top honors by CPI Industry and H2O Magazine for its efficient use of technology to maximize recovery and for its small energy footprint.

    “The project had many challenges, namely the high level of Radium in the source water and the client’s requirement to maximize water recovery with the smallest energy footprint,” said the regional manager of EMCO Elie Shalhoub. “After detailed analysis and weighing different technologies, the nano-filtration process was selected to achieve the highest recovery possible with minimal adverse environmental impact, furthering our commitment to Keep the Planet Blue.” He added.

    H2O Water Awards 2011 celebrates the outstanding achievements of the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) water industry. These awards recognize projects, big and small, that have made significant contributions to the advancement of the region's water industry.     EMCO successfully commissions Daura Refinery RO Plant in Baghdad
    EMCO has successfully completed the commissioning of one of the most sophisticated RO projects in Iraq – Daura Refinery RO.   The plant was implemented according to the latest and most stringent oil industry standards and was executed under a very difficult execution landscape and within a very short timeframe.  The plant is fully automated using the latest automation tools from ABB – ABB Freelance 800 DCS System.  The plant will provide the refinery with essential high purity water to help increase the refined oil capacity needed in Iraq, which is of great strategic importance to the country today.  This project further supports EMCO’s role as a leading Water Solutions Provider in the industry.  We are confident this project will be another ...

    EMCO Hands over North Doha International Airport Wastewater Expansion project

    EMCO successfully handed over The North Doha International Airport Wastewater Expansion project – CP13 –only 6 months after project commencement. The wastewater treatment plant is designed to treat waste from 34,000 people at the NDIA labor camp.  The urgently commissioned project was entrusted to EMCO in order to solve the deteriorating influent wastewater condition and to ultimately relieve the overburdened wastewater treatment facility. In operation since September 2011, CP13 allowed the existing treatment plant to produce effluent quality water within Qatari regulations and furthers EMCO’s mission of achieving more environmental balance worldwide by keeping the planet blue.
